Nah mate, Definatley something wrong with the Rifle.

Possibly something to do with the "catch" on the top of the sliding bolt section Id say, im not expert just going off my 94 Big Bore.

Cant imagine it being too much of an issue to fix, nor much of a price tag either

Good luck with it an let us know how it shoots when you get around too it... I would NOT shoot it as is.

Fly or spin? We got trout down under, I absolutely love fishing for them fly an mostly spin! an of course trolling in the old tinny :)

Do you guys get Rainbow and Brown trout over there??

Open the lever about an inch or so... on the back of the link ( floorplate ) there should be a little spring loaded plunger to keep things in place... check to make sure it's present and the spring is intact.
