Quick USA to Canada Question

Holster, mag pouch, belt, range bag, tools >>> yes. I've done this flying out of TX. Gun parts, optics, ammo: technically NO. But you will be driving, so it will depend if you get checked by an American LEO to which you might or will have a problem unless you are in possession of importation documents. Canadian authorities might charge you taxes for the items you will bring in as long as you can prove that you can posses them legally. Provided no complete firearm or a part that needs registration as to frame or receiver, you should be good.

This is based on my last trip a year ago. To be on the safe side, check with CBSA and stay out of trouble. Border regulations changes every now and then.

This^^^^^^^^ gun accessories like a holster is not problem. Any gun parts including optics is not allowed to be taken out of the US without the proper export papers. Canada doesn't care what you bring in as long as it's legal and not prohibited. They just charge you for the Customs & GST.

If flying down there don't even think about bringing even the smallest gun part home. The last time I went down there, I packed a 2013 Sig Sauer catalog in my luggage, and when I got home there was a sheet of paper placed inside the suitcase by the TSA saying that the bag was inspected. And they looked through everything. If I would have bought the Colt 1911 grips at the gun show I went to, I would have been screwed.

I ordered handgun grips for my CZ75B from US Dealer Brownell's, paid for and delivered all ok. But, I am sure "gun parts" covered by ITAR are not permitted for export without permits.

I'm not so sure about handgun stocks. I believe they are are ITAR controlled for US export. US Dept of State should be able to confirm if anyone wants to actually go ask them. Or the export folks at Brownells could give second hand but reliable clarification.
