sks with cruciform bayonet

just bought my sks, my brother has had his for about a year. his has cruciform bayonet, mine has blade.
would his be from another rifle or did sks come with that style.
his seems superior quality to mine, both russian. his is stamped on the butt with hammer and sickle. i have not seen another like it.
not that i`ve seen a lot but i was holding out for the same quality. he paid $150 last year out in sask.

Only the 1949 Russian sks has a cruciform bayo. I hope you aren't thinking of "improvements"

blade is just as good as cross, just leaves different shape hole

Pinned was a later Chinese expedient. It worked quite well. Russia never did it as they stopped production befor the Chinese started
