Ya wanna hear the most hilarious part? When i made and posted my adapter, Marcus sent me a pretty rude email stating that i "copied" him. Once i explained to him that my adapter and his have nothing in common other than being made of alu and using AR mags he never responded back, here we are 10 months later and he basically copied my magazine latching solution.
his original adapter used heavily modified magazines to run. I guess i should email him back and accuse him of copying me? LOL, naah, no point. I dont make my living off this, its just a challenge to see if it can be done.

So, you buy the magazine well adaptor and a few 7.62x39 AR magazines. Trim the inside of the stock so the adaptor fit the stock. What about interference between the AR lips and the machining on the receiver?
You get a 5-shot detachable magazine SKS, without the TAPCO duckbill feature. Cheaper than an SKS D, but I suspect there are 100x fewer 7.62x39 AR mags in Canada than various makes of AK magazine.

XCR mags are stanag. And xcr pistol mags in 7.62x39 are the reason this mod is worthwhile.
I do make them, but on a very small batch size. There are maybe a dozen out there, all in the hands of my friends.

It attaches using the stock internal magazine latch system, machine work is needed to the receiver for the magazine, whoever tells you they can run unmolested/unmodified STANAG mags without receiver mods is lying.
Magazines used are STANAG aka AR-15 style magazines. In our case we would use the 10 round XCRL pistol magazines.
To explain a bit further about the Marcus situation. Originally, Marcuses adapters required cutting off the front of the mag and making a new latch hole lower on the body. Both of those modifications would make the XCRL pistol mags null and void as they would have been modified for SKS and would have to be pinned at 5. This is why a. i made my own. and b. my design does not copy his. My adapter requires zero magazine modifications.
