It does come apart easily, top and bottom seperate for easy cleaning , and you're correct about the chassis, this is the first aluminum aftermarket chassis for the SKS in the world.

That's my personnal project im doing on an SKS,but not a shrould but a handguard (think HK G3) and let you know it look ###y on the SKS,and on top of that it will have some nice AR15 lar pistol to feed the beast.

But Right now it's on hold,but it's coming slowly but surely together !

Proprietary mag is the opposite of taking AR mags. It really can't be both.

They're designed to take AR mags. Their proprietary mags are in reference to an AR style mag of their own design and manufacture.

Just going off what the retailer told me. The rifle comes with their mag but will also accept ar style mags, so YES it takes AR mags

I really doubt about that as the sks receiver need to be mill to fit AR 15 mags and i know what im taking about im doing the AR15 mag conversion for sks.

The SKAR does definitely take AR mags. The first batch is coming with altered Tapco AR mags and the next ones will be proprietary but they will accept any AR magazine.

Without milling the receiver/or modified the mag itself ? can i ask where you got your sks to fit an ar15 mag without any modification ill buy about 10 of them.

Have you thought about the fact that maybe thats why Wartak is selling the complete system with the SKS, and not the stock by itself? Because the receiver was modified?

Because really when you think about it, there's no other good reason for not selling the stock separately...

Maybe,but they will have to clarify that because it very confusing about it,and when you look a picture of their stock,look at the magasine catch,it's not on the good side of the magwell for an AR15 mag.

Yes, they use modified Tapco SKS mags, with an AR style release on the chassis.
