So I've been meaning to ask this, every sks/T56 comes with a cleaning kit inside the buttstock of the rifle, besides the bore/barrel brush, I've notices 2 small rods, one sort of blunt the other more pointy looking. Just wondering what they do and how to use them?

Thanks in advance!

The thicker one is goes through the hole in the end of the cleaning rod to form a T-handle to clean the barrel, while the thinner one is a pin punch, to remove firing pin retaining pin etc.

The ticker one can't fit though the tiny hole but the pin punch can...the thicker one is a thicker Jag and has grooves on it, it has a rotating head...I have no idea what it's for..

You already said it, its a jag. It threads onto the cleaning rod, use a slot in the cleaning kit body to tighten it with the tapered pin in the hole of the cleaning rod. Do this after sliding the muzzle guide (end cap of cleaning kit) onto the rod. Wrap a patch on the jag and insert it into the muzzle, slide the muzzle guide on and twist it onto the front sight base. The large body of the cleaning kit has a couple holes in the side. Slide the large end of the cleaning rod into the large hole then slide the punch through the smaller holes and the hole in the cleaning rod to form a handle. Use the jag and bore brush to clean as usual. The punch also helps open the gas tube latch especially on rifles that don't have a tab on the latch. The brush and jag are also good for cleaning the small diameter of the gas tube. Its a very simple, ingenious kit that uses every single part for cleaning the rifle.
