Best non restricted black rifle for 3 gun

I take it you don't play golf or you would know how it is done there and see how it could be adapted

I play golf and understand how it is handicapped. 3 gun is not as cut and dried as golf with respect to handicap.

Since you won't even bother to explain how you would implement the system you feel necessary I have to conclude that your one of those guys who expects others to do the work. Or you're still trolling.

so if you play golf you know that a handicap works off of the score card, now you get a score when you shoot a match and do the same, assess a handicap. Now you need to remember that I said "handicap me on accuracy" which is what started the debate, but in fact it would be the other player getting the handicap. Sorry if you want a long winded explanation with details on the internet on something that is just an idea at this point.

Organize a match where you do this and show us how it works. Or just offer to do the stats for one. But I'd like to see a thread on the topic in the action shooting sub forum, we're way off topic here.

So how would the handicap work? Those with 10 round magazines incur a time penalty? How about those who run magnified optics or very effective compensators? Does a match trigger qualify for a handicap? The fact that people whine and b*tch about the "unfair advantage" afforded via specific gear, tells me that their gear is not in any way capable of keeping up. Unless its an LEO running full capacity magazines, everything else you'll see is available to the masses. It seems many are more concerned with "winning" than shooting to improve themselves.

Discussions like these are entertaining.

It really shouldn't matter what equipment someone uses, as long as that person is proficient with the equipment they choose.

I know guys who using a pump can easily out shoot most people with a semi.
Set up 5 poppers, no reloads required, win every time.
They have put in the time and effort to become good with their gear.

Same with 5 vs 10 vs beowolf vs whatever.
There is way more to running a course of fire than a mag change.
If your movement is slow, your transitions are slow, and your ability to break down a stage is lacking, you could have any capacity mag you want and someone with a bolt action will kick your butt.

All this bickering about handicaps and fairness is pointless.
Pick the platform you like based on features you want, aesthetics, price, whatever and become good with it.

you can debate that with the other guy wanting answers, I said handicap me on accuracy because I was told HK and SIG were not "fair"

In golf the handicap is based on the average score you can shoot on a given course, not the gear used or your methods

I see in shooting sports two types of people. People that are talented with any gun, and people that need to good gun to seem talented.
