Whats grain bullets everyone shooting out of their 7mm Rem Mags.

Definitely not! As posted previously, have a look at the Hornady web page, and it's obvious that they don't use that term to describe all of their legal jacketed bullets.

*yawn* It's okay to say you learned something stubble. Once again I'm done with your nonsense....the last word is yours because I know how important that is to you.

So it's nonsense on my part, that you aren't willing to accept that the terminology that I chose, seems to be the terminology that many knowledgeable people , including the bullet manufacturers, have used for many years? I guess that I shouldn't be surprised by that.

160 a-frames, partitions, x-bullets I shot for years. The 7 don't get out much lately but is sighted in with 160 accubonds right now, and would try some 150's - swift scirroco, barnes tsx/ttsx, fusions.

I use 162g Hornady SST's I don't really know why I picked them but that's what I have been using. They work good on deer. I shot an elk with them and have seen moose shot with them, they worked.

Have also used the 162g Hornady interlocks, 154g hornady interlocks, 120g Nosler ballistic tips, 175g partition, 165g Sierras in the Federal factory ammo, 150g Winchester power points factory ammo. They all worked about the same on deer. Used a 120g TSX and found it did not make a large enough wound channel for my liking, and no audible sound of a hit. Used a 100g TTSX (in a 7-08) and did not like that either.

Son's Win 70 classic likes 160gr Accubond Body count a cow moose and a WT doe this fall.Recovered bullets look great from moose. Next cow elk in Dec perhaps. My Sako Finnbear prefers the 160gr Partition still passing deer for now season closes Nov 30.Harold

I used to get really good accuracy out of Hornady 168gr SST's loaded to about 2800fps out of my Savage.

Cheers

Sounds legit to me, except the close range part. Non expansion has been shown many times not only with the TSX but ALL the bullets relying on material entering a tiny hole and then hydraulic force to open it. The smaller the hole and tougher the jacket the more unreliable expansion becomes.
