.300 H&H - Hornady Brass

Hello everyone,

While looking for .300 H&H brass for an "upcoming project", Hornady seems to be the most common, though there have been some people saying it's "too soft". Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it?

This is not much help to you because I have not used Hornady brass in my 300 H&H, however I have tried it in 404 Jeffery, 375 Ruger, 30-06, and 6.5 Swede. Of those only the 6.5 turned out to be satisfactory.
As others have said it seems too soft.
I use mostly Winchester brass or Remington in my 300 these days as its the easiest to find.....

Myself, on the other hand, have nothing but good to say about Hornady brass. Specifically, .375 Ruger.

I have some in 300weatherby. During load work up I added powder until I got max velocity's and then some. I found them to be harder than weatherby brass (which is quite soft) That is my only experience with it.

I'm pretty sure that all my Super 30 brass is W-W and Remington. Could neck down 375 H&H brass in a pinch, I guess.

Digging through my stash I found some old WT & CC stamped `300 MAG `. Any old geezers remember that company..... I do..
