Bayo's are supposed to be dull, the idea being to poke a big nasty hole into the enemy so he bleeds out faster.
But....since none of us will be doing that, feel free to put an edge on it and use it as a cheese knife.

One guy told me that sharpened bayonets were against the Geneva Convention. I don't believe it.
No regs on sharp or not,user preference I sharpened all mine as they doubled as field knives,some guys didn't. The newer issue C7A2 Bayonet 2000 is supposed to be sharpened and used as a knife.
It's false.
I have read that during WW1 one, or both sides (I forget) would execute soldiers found with saw tooth backed bayonets used by pioneer troops, thinking that they were unusually cruel due to the teeth. I don't know if this is true or just war time folklore.
