pre 64 Winchester 30-30 price check

Any pre 64' is worth $400 to start.

In the past two months I have purchased four Pre-64 94's in .30/30 all in excellent condition (two in collector condition) for between $425 - $475. I also bought two Pre-64 94 project guns for $325 each... These two are in the same condition described by the OP... If he gets $400, he is doing very well... I wouldn't pay it, but perhaps someone would if it was posted long enough.

Book value means nothing. A firearm is worth as much as a "CRAZY NOOB" buyer is willing to pay. Look how many 10-22's sold on the EE this year for twice their value......supply and demand my friend. Classic Winchesters are starting to become very popular with new shooters.

Fixed it for ya'!

That all depends where you are I suppose. I keep my eyes peeled for good prices, but the average clean pre 64' around Ottawa here is fetching $500 and up. I even saw a post 64 side eject last weekend @ a local gun shop selling for almost $700. I think prices vary by region.

Yeah, prices vary but the days of cheap Winchester levers are gone. You can still stumble on a great deal occaisionally same as any other type of gun but prices have been trending upward in the last 10 years.

I just sold mine it was a mistake! Why......the horror the horror hopefuly I find one as nice and tight again some day :(

And to think there was one in the EE under the Precision EE forums.
Heck, that's ballsy.
I'd stick a 336 in there without shedding a hare.
