Girlfriend tagged her second ever deer.

I get a chuckle out of a guy being an a$$ & other members schooling him... I swear some guys have nothing better to do...

Again, NICE BUCK! Tell your girlfriend, WAY TO GO!!!

Cheers
Jay

I see someone here has some serious issues.

No real issue with the tags. Huge issue with the gun safety. From what I remember from my gun safety course many years ago "treat every gun as if it is loaded" was rule number one.

I guess if your okay with a gun pointed at your girlfriend it's none of my business.

Sorry if I offended you.

I think the issue is relative to the poster being native... Please correct me if I am wrong... No matter what, that is a nice buck... Congrats...

That's how I perceived the intent behind the uncalled for and inappropriate comment "tags?"

I tag all the animals I shoot but usually right after a quality field picture is taken and I sure as heck would never pass judgement on someone for doing the same.

This is a great looking buck and congratulations to your girlfriend.

From what I can see from the picture ( but then again, my head isn't up my a$$ ) the barrel of the rifle is between her chest and under her arm, pointed directly to her left. And that is what I recall....but what do I know...I was there. I also watched her check the action and magazine to confirm it was empty. But obviously you know way more from sitting in your chair than the people that were there. I suggest you get a hobby, or get off your lazy a$$ and go see if you can get a buck instead of sitting on the internet being jealous of a second year female hunter.

That is a good theory. But I must correct you. My girlfriend is English/dutch/german. not one native blood cell. She runs a cat for a living and tans darker than most natives but she is as white as me. :) And I will save your butt by not telling her what you said :p

Ok... Then she needs a tag like the rest of us whities...m so the question is valid.. Lol

Feel better now.

Sheesh!! Some people stoop to the lowest possible levels. [Jealousy, perhaps?]
Very nice deer, Congrats to your wife!
She's obviously a keeper.
Regards, Dave.

So am I still racist.

What really sucks about your posts in this thread is all of your negativity towards an new hunter. Not just any new hunter, but a new female hunter. Women are the group of Cdns that we need to show the biggest welcome into shooting and shooting sports. Without growth in the female demographic in hunting and shooting sports, the Libs and NDP will keep coming at us again and again, and may eventually get their way due to our low male numbers.

My wife could care less about guns. But when someone on here takes the time to post their girlfriends or wives shooting, I always show my wife those threads. But she will not see this one. So just chill out and look to the positives of a post that promotes female shooters. If you can't do that, then congratulate this hunter on a nice buck.

In before a thread that should never have to be locked is locked. Maybe the Mods can just filter out the negative post.

If you followed same rules as other non native hunters then no... But you really need to apply your tags asap after harvest if you are non native and actually buy one...

That's not law the everywhere. While it may be law in SK, here in MB you can wait to affix the tag until you reach a means of transportation, so long as you remain with the animal and you've notched the date.

My post was negative? I asked about the animal not being tagged and pointed out an iffy gun safety situation. No name calling, no discouragement toward the hunter on my part. I would make the same comments to a new hunter or one with 30 years experience, male or female.

Subsequent posts directed at me calling me jealous, lazy, head up my a$$, racist and I'm the negative one?

"My GF shot a deer once. We posted a pic of it on CGN and all people wanted to focus on was no tag, safe muzzle direction in 2D, and border line racist comments'.
Seriously, people need to grow up.
Congrats to your GF on the harvest, that is a nice buck.

Those were just reactions to your negative posts. You reap what you sow. If your post were positive, you would have gone through this thread un-noticed. But your post were in-fact negative, and you received negative feedback in return.
