2013 Whitetail's lets see them

I missed a nice 5x5 running full tilt at around 150 yards on Saturday. I ended up shooting a spiker on my last day out in the bush this season.
Lots of beautiful deer so far. Well done, lads and lasses!

2013 Saskatchewan whitetail

Great lookin buck jake300,you get it scored yet?Looks like a solid 150.Not many good bucks in our part of m.b. As someone said earlier in thread there is a lack of m.b. sask. entries.I will have to get a pic of my 2013 buck in here.Great job and a bunch of nice lookin deer in this thread.

We have been having a difficult time finding whitetail bucks up in our area this year. Last winter seemed to have taken a real tole on the whitetail population up here in central Sask, however finally yesterday afternoon I finally manage to bag this little pre-rut buck.

I rough scored him at 162 gross. I seen the thread about the lack of sask whitetails and I agree but there is still some very good deer out there.

All Manitoba big game licenses include provisions to take one wolf or coyote. I pay the six bucks to get the trappers license, wolves can be hunted while in prime, coyotes are year round right now. Of course if you didn't have one before three years ago, you have to take the training course.

So in Manitoba your only allowed to shoot one coyote all year?

Kinda like this one of Vanessa's 2013 buck.

Unlimited coyote, wolf, beaver and raccoon, provided you're in an Open Area trapping zone, not RTL. You can always shoot them in protection of livestock, etc., regardless of license/seasons.

Yep, this. That trappers license is the best six bucks I ever spent. Specially since I got my first one before you needed to do the course. Wolf and coyote seasons in Manitoba have been opened year round for the last couple years now too, not just in prime fur bearer season.
On a note more to the original topic of this thread, no deer for me this year. :( Sparse sightings in all my usual haunts. I passed on a few calves and doe/calf pairs and only saw one buck in two months of hunting, cruising at 300 yards. Dismal.
