Thats a beautiful gun that DW. Would sure like to find one. I have a 6" 76 Monson and would say its my 2nd favourite. It would look real perty beside mine

Thankyou ,sir. I have a 6" Monson also from 1976 that's my shooter (4 digit serial). That one has the recessed chambers. Some light marks on it but great to shoot! Feels like a toy compared to my 29-2. Funny how both my DWs have the deep purplish frame.

Never thought of it as purplish, always thought of it as a black chrome, but I do know what you mean.

Loctite and Tighten the strain screw all the way down.

It is a known issue that is easily fixable.

So the color of that gun and every thing is original and all you had done was a trigger job?

Nevermind i just read you had it bead blasted, which explains the look.
