K, i dont know if I can ask this, but Ill take a shot. I am getting into the reloading hobby over the next year and wish to purchase or trade good brass. Doesn't need to be new, just good. Who sells bulk, rifle brass. Looking for .243, 7mm mag, 308, .270, and maybe a 30-06 and anything else. those would be my 5 starting calibres.

Thanks for your help all.

The best price is always going to be the price you get that doesn't involve shipping. Shipping very quickly negates any savings you will get.

Dogzilla is absolutely right on about shipping. I've got some 270 (at least a couple hundred) and a smaller quanity of 7mm Mag I'll sell reasonable. PM me if you're in Southern Ont maybe we can work around the shipping thing

Where you are makes a lot of difference. Prices aren't the same everywhere. As does what you call 'a good price'. And as mentioned, shipping will negate any cost savings you find on-line.
In any case, most new reloaders keep the brass they've already shot and load it. Otherwise, your local gun shop can order anything you want in any quantity you want. Just order as much as you can afford and be prepared to pay up front. Those cartridges aren't in any way rare or hard to find.

I buy once fired brass from members in the EE. This is the criteria I follow:
1. Has some feedback, all of it 100%
2. Brass must be from factory ammunition, once fired by them, and absolutely not range pickup.
3. The price is right; don't buy from the members who list the price of their used firearms related items as if they are made of gold, and encrusted in precious gems.

I will disagree with stubblejumper on this; if you scour your local range, you will find TONS of new, once-fired brass. So many shooters can't/don't/won't reload, and they just toss the brass in the bucket or garbage. New OF brass is pretty easy to sort from the rest if you look at it. Keep the stuff in excellent condition, and leave the rest.

I've never had any issue whatsoever with new OF range pick-ups.

Used brass from the EE may be a crap shoot.

Another option of course is to start with bulk factory ammo purchased and shot yourself.
It is not a cheap option, but you'll know it is most definitely once fired, all one lot of the brass you want and it is fire formed off the bat if that matters.
Edited to add: some retailers will even include shipping with ammo.

I don't bother with any fired brass, for the simple reason, that I don't know it's history. If it has been fired in a sloppy chamber, it may be difficult to get to chamber in a tighter chamber, even with FL resizing. As to being able to easily tell once fired brass from other brass, I use stainless media to clean my brass, and it is just as clean and shiny as new brass. I generally shoot it, until I start seeing the first signs of cracked necks or loose primer pockets in a few cases, then I dump the entire batch. If you are digging through the garbage, and picking out my discarded brass, just looking at it ,won't always tell you if it has been once fired, or fired a dozen times. The only exception to this is if you can actually verify that the brass is once fired, and even then, there is no guarantee, that it will chamber in your gun, after FL sizing.
I start with quality, new brass, and then I can be sure exactly what I have, and therefore avoid any potential issues.

Got almost everything but not sure what city you are in. And it's all fffreee.

If you are some where in and around Airport Rd and Hwy 9 in Caledon East or on the way to Orangeville gun show. PM

I have had problems with a few range pickups. It wouldn't chamber after full length resizing. I don't have small base dies though, but who buys small base dies for 7mm RM, 270 Win, 30-06 Spring. etc.
100 pieces of brass for hunting calibers will last a long time. I would just as soon buy 100 pieces of new or once fired brass for these calibers, and have it all on the same cycle, and matching headstamp.

Where would you find once fired brass? Im pretty wary of trusting people online with any sort of honesty. Is there someone the forum would recommend speaking with?
