So I picked one of these up yesterday for my son. The action isn't very smooth. Do any of you know any aftermarket parts that could smooth this puppy out of bit? I have stripped it down and cleaned it completely and re-lubed it.

Thanks

If it is brand new, simply cycle the action and it should smooth out after awhile. This maybe a good time to have your son practice working the action, safe handling etc. If you are worried about dry firing see if you could find some snap caps and he can practice removing safety, firing and reloading in the safety of your home. I don't think dry firing should harm it though.

Worked it a bit today. I put a truglo front sight and a nice padded leather sling on it for him. Now we just gotta break it in. The only thing I am not to cool with is the fixed modified choke,..but he will have to live with it until he gets big enough for a semi-auto 20g.

Does anyone know where I can buy bulk ammo for it? I have look at the usual places in Edmonton.

If you are going to shoot a lot of 410 there are two ways to cut the cost. First is to reload. Second is to sell the hulls. Last summer there were a couple of people with adds in the EE looking to buy 410 and 28 hulls. Either way the Winchester HS is the hull of choice.
