Girlfriend tagged her second ever deer.

Well sksavenger now you will know what to do if you manage to fill your tag this year. Please post appropriate pics, deer tagged and rifle policed properly.cou:. Hopefully C will let you have some of her deer if you don't come across a blind, deaf and lame whitetail.Laugh2

If I do come across a deaf blind and lame white tail, I am going to be sure to take the pic before tagging. make sure the bolt is securely closed on my unloaded rifle, take my blaze orange hat off and have a whiskey bottle (with apple juice in it ) sitting in view. And if its real close to the end of legal hunting time.....I will wait till dark for the photo. Just to pi$$ off some certain internet superheros and armchair hunters. :D:stirthepot2:
 
Alright so I don't really care about the tag or the position of the rife. However the quality of the photo is seriously lacking and its more offensive than the lack of tag or closed bolt. Firstly, why isn't she smiling? Theres also some small twigs obstructing a complete view of her, was this taken at the Walmart Photo Centre? Lighting is all off too. Didn't bother to wipe the snow off the side of the deers head? Don't even get me started on the angle. Obviously you were rushing around for some unbeknownst reason. Were you too excited about the situation or something that you didn't even bother to care about a couple very minor details?Sarcasm by the way.

It gets worse every year around here from the ethics police. I will have a closer look at some of these posts when I get home.

And some folks wonder why hardly anybody posts pics and hunt reports like we used to get here... It's pretty obvious.
 
Yup lots of jacka$$e$ on here. Getting sick of reading all these negative posts. If u don't have something positive to add, move on to the next thread. She shot a great deer, congrats!
 
Thanks for all of the positive comments from all of you and for taking the time to defend us against the ethics police. It makes her even more excited about her next hunt, :D I showed her this thread and she is even more proud of herself and is even talking about becoming a fellow Nut. As for Mr Negativity....she had herself a good laugh at him and it didn't deter her from the sport at all. Thanks again everyone. :)
 
Great buck and congrats to her....for the record I never attach a tag until the animal is at the vehicle (or the vehicle is at the animal). Not even sure what the "law" says here in Manitoba regarding that and don't really care. I also generally take off the blaze hat and vest for pics...

Also, because I want to complain also I will note that his tongue is hanging out. Tuck it in for goodness sake!! ;-)

Don't know what the tag's are like in sask but in Alberta you get one paper tag that is attached at the tendon on the back leg. I would never attach the tag if there was any dragging or loading into a vehicle to be done the animal gets loaded first.

last kind of hassle a guy needs is to run into a conservation officer and explain your tag is gone because it ripped off and is lost in the snow somewhere who knows where, rather have the tag and explain that it will be tagged at the vehicle imo

I kind of think you'd be better off trying to explain your way out of a ripped tag rather than an untagged animal.
 
Nice buck. Congrats to the GF.

Guess we have it good here in BC. Pull the tag out, clip out the date, region and type and put it back in a pocket. Nothing to attach, lose or rip.
