Motiuk Prototype #1: Under Barrel Shotgun

I would be up for a shot gun of some kind that would mount to a picitiny rail, I want one to mount under my RobArm XCR-M, doesn't have to be a 12guage due to the added weight but a .410 or 16 guage would be awsome. I also want to mount a .410 or 16 guage under my 597 VTR .22.

You can have a shotgun sitting in your safe with no stock and its still considered non restricted. In teh case of a rifle like a CZ 858 where the stock and grip are 2 parts, removing the stock COULD make it restricted (if it did, infact make it shorter than 26 inches) because it still has a pistol grip and can still be fired. A shotgun with no stock and no pistol grip is not a complete gun. There is nothing to hold on to and legally, is not complete or restricted. This is why you can buy 12 inch grizzlys from Can-am with no stock... its not a complete gun. If removing the stock from a gun (a rifle with NO separate pistol grip) made it restricted no one would ever be able to legally sell and ship shotguns with no stocks. But we do, all the time.

IMO, no reason this gun should be considered restricted AND... I fully agree that a mounting platform for a non restricted rifle makes the most sense. Imaging the ultimate bush gun... 7.62X39 with a 12 gauge underneath. That would be awesome. I think theres definitely a way to get this onto an 858 and it could actually convince me to buy both the CZ and the 12 gauge just because I can.

Put it on a Cz/Vz, ACR, XCR, etc., and you have a fun bush toy.

Weight would be an issue. It weighs 15 pounds attached to the above AR. Attaching to an 858 would further increase the weight.

How about a side opening over under? Like a side by side flipped on it's side with the trigger underneath. Would be simple. Light and unique

That would be heavier, bulkier, and have less ammunition capacity.

Ballpark $700-1000. Largely depending on the price of the 870 / 870 clone used.

I have no issue with the weight. I've dated fat broads before and have had to shove them off me in the morning, so carrying a 15-pound weapons platform around would be awesome. Especially because I wouldn't have to call it again for another date.

Cannon

How about a Magfed Masterkey.... If ammo is an issue.

The dlask 6.5" barrel, on Tavor, XCR, ACR, M14 EBR, 858, the new 542's would be your best bet... Bigger market as well.
It has to fit on an NR barrel/rail to be worth while.

It is for sure that it mounts same was as an M203 (so only AR pattern rifles) or could it mount to a tactical rail? If so, how many slots would be required on the rail as a minimum? And the mag fed would be a cool option, but not a necessary selling point. All black would definitely be, and sourcing the DA Grizzly to drop the price would also be a cool bonus.

When can I order one it will be a great addition to the your upper and lower set I'm using now

At the moment there is no firm ETA.

Do we have a price point yet?

Approx. $1000

How does the attached shotgun affect the weight and balance of a scoped AR? Are we talking full-sized scoped M14 weight (12lbs)?

Thanks and merry Christmas!

The weight is significantly increased with the shotgun attached. Very front heavy, even with a UBR attached to an AR. Total weight with a 14.5/16" carbine will be around 16lbs.

Roughly the same mounting as an M203. No rail attachment as of yet, and most likely won't be.

Will it be wood furniture or synthetic ?

Synthetic.
