Got my AR-15 Magwell adapter and stock today for my .223 Vz 58. Special thanks to Nitroxrunsthrume. He even added an extra surprise to the box. Anti tilt feed lips for USGI magazines ;). Very happy, thanks bud.

The gun looks a lot better with metal magazines. I don't have a pistol grip yet so can't install the AR stock yet unless I cut the pistol grip out of the skeleton stock. Kind of don't want to do that. I'll order a pistol grip when I order 2 Lar-15 magazines and a coupler. :D

Thinking about picking up a bolt release tab now  ..... and possibly the dust cover replacement with scope base..... and.... and... sh!t, I've been bit by the bug.

That looks great!! Been thinking of picking up a magwell adapter for my .223 as well; just can't get into those plastic mags. How sturdy does the material feel?

Got mine for the reason that I didn't like the plastic mags. Wanted aluminum or steel mags. Unfortunately, I just tried chambering a snap cap with the black mag, which is a Norinco mag, and it sits to low in the receiver for it to chamber. The grey mag however, which is a USGI mag, snaps into place easier and feeds the snap cap. The mag is kind of loose in the mag well but it drops free when hitting the mag release and, as long as the bolt is open, a new mag slides into place really easily. Will go take it shooting first before I invest more money in mags and such. The mag well adapter may be made by Zahal but has the CSA lion crest on it.

ya i hated the cheesy plastic mags but loved the idea of running one in .223 for the 10 rds and they do need to make a metal mag well adapter, Mumbles is your vz drilled for the side mount scope mount? if so thats the way to go ive never seen a replacement dust cover that looked like it would work at all and they look some crapy to me any way
a scout mount would also look great on it and work well for red dot sights

The problem with the CSA rails is that they are AK rails. You really need a SVD rail unless you have a giraffe neck.

I know they make a metal one in 7.62. Wolverine sells them. But from what I understand the normal mag release doesn't work and you have to use a catch on the side. Damn shame they don't make metal ones for .223.

The CSA/Zahal mag well adapter also has a side button mag release. It's actually much nicer than the original mag release and the magazine drops free just like in an AR-15. In the installation, the original mag release is turned into the release to remove the mag well.

If the other mag doesn't feed quite right try using those nice new followers buddy gave you and see if that fixes it

I'll give it a try but the mag sits lower than the feed ramp well the USGI mag sits right on the feed ramp. I like the black mag since it looks a lot nicer with it so if I can get it to work, that would be great. If not, I'll keep it for if I ever end up getting a Type 97 or something else that takes AR mags.

What's with all the ran ? Is it trendy talk or do you not know how to speak English properly ?

Really man? Ran is the past tense of run. Which is a verb that can mean to operate. He ran the rifle. Perfect use of English. Too bad it doesn't jive with how you demand the language be spoken. Get real and invest in a thesaurus or dictionary.

I just finished giving the rifle a full service cleaning job. I only cleaned this gun once when I first got it. I always cleaned the barrel after each use but never the action and its ran perfect for the last 600 rounds. I cleaned all the old grease off, cleaned it well with Q-tips, took the lower hand guard off, cleaned under the barrel, then applied new grease. Hopefully this won't jinx me and cause the rifle to run like ####. Tied the magpull feed lip in the other mag but no luck, can't get it to feed a snap cap as the mag sits to low in the magwell. I'll see if I can figure something else out but I'm keeping the mag regardless.

"I rebuilt the top end of a motocross bike then ran it to make sure it works."

"I installed the Zahal/CSA magwell adapter then ran the rifle to make sure it works."

"Did you run that Vz 58 to make sure it works properly?"

Don't know who pissed in his fruit loops but thanks. Couldn't of said it better myself.

Mods!!!! do we need this!!!!! i'm gonna go out on a limb and say lyman is from down south where they talk funny. one of those guys that say " i shot my gun" or "i shoot my gun". it's much easier to run your gun without damaging it. shooting it would just be stupid. if you choose to argue with me i'm gonna bring so much bullchit to the table you'll choose not to post for months. but then again maybe i'll get banned ovrec. must i remind you, i have thick skin so fire away :feedTroll:
