Engraving XCR lower

I also agree with this. Call or better yet go in first and talk with the owner explaining what you would like, take in just the lower.

Yea. Just take the lower. I was just saying period for anything firearm related (especially for black rifles) keeping it low key is smart since you never know who might be ignorant to our laws or your intentions.

Engraving is the best LOL

Yeah but it is the lower that's technically the "fire-arm" that's registered. So if you get caught with the lower, you can still get in a tons of crap (especially with our BiPolar CFO)
Follow transport laws and you're fine. Nothing against the lower about transporting a non-restricted firearm to an engraver.

Guys! Really? Bringing a firearm inside a jeweller shop? Really???
Am i the only one seeing all the fail in this idea?
Yes, you are. I fail to see how bringing in the receiver only after talking to the owner first is a problem?

Get your panties unbundled. Its just a hunk of aluminum.

Lol It's just the lower, now if someone walked in with a full rifle and didn't call first I'd think they're crazy.

Exactly. I believe "Shooter 1of38" took one of his pistols to a local jeweler to have diamonds installed in the sights as a gift for his wife. Nobody was injured, arrested, and no laws where broken (had the att).

As long as you contact the owner and manager before you just waltz in there should be no problem if the said you could and know when to expect you. Bringing it in disassembled/trigger locked/cased are all just extra precautions to show your due diligence as a responsible and safe firearms owner.

He had an ATT made up to specifically allow him to bring a pistol to a jeweler shop?

Cause my ATT sure doesn't allow me to bring my pistols or restricted to jeweler shops, if it did I would be shaking my head in disbelief! Might as well put in banks, financial institutions, gas stations, and Garda mobile armored trucks in the ATT as well.

I don't have an rpal yet so I don't know. But can't you get a one time att to bring it to a gun smith, or a gun shop to sell it? What Would be the difference in getting one to get it customized?

Use your eyes to read the laws. There is no transporting a restricted firearm without an ATT for the specific destination. Doesn't matter if its trigger locked or even just the bare frame. If it qualifies as a restricted gun, you need an ATT.

He probably only took the slide to the jeweler if it was to get a diamond put in the sights. The slide is an unregulated part, no need for an ATT.
