Supply is not as bad compared to a year go. Supporting dealers might have one for you. I know Basspro gets them more often now, so as Le Baron. But expect a long waiting list @ Le Baron.

I go to Basspro once in a while. Few times they have them. And they do not accept reservations. Call them on regular basis to check availability. They get more deliveries compared to Canadian Dealers. Next summer, I saw a press release that Cabelas will open in Barrie. Hopefully, they will carry Restricted firearms.

I only got a quote of "probably $40 but could be more"... how much was shipping for you? Where abouts are you located? I'm in southern ontario as well.

Can't recall exact shipping charge, but tax and shipping together came to $54 (Edmonton to GTA) - and it was uber-fast ship, too! Considering that all the other prices I found (that were actually in stock) cost more for the rifle, taxes won't be lower, and there's the cost/hassle of driving to who knows where or shipping anyway, I was ok with that.
