Ruger M77 mark II who makes the best aftermarket trigger?

I like timney in some applications but put one in the Ruger Mk II. I found it kind of chessey. Does not look as rugged as a Ruger and you have toModify (shorten with a file ) the safety. It works well but if you decide to go back to the original trigger it safety probably would also have to be changed. I would take a close look at all that are available before making a decision.

For a hunting rifle the original factory mass produced Ruger mII trigger is as good as it is unless somebody have custom HB target rifle. With some stoning and spring tension adjustment I was able to lower it to 3lbs or so in both of my Rugers (LH 7-08 & LH 30-06 RCBS Imp) and wouldn't dare to go any lower than that.
Those hunting rifles don't need $200 + instalation "improovements".

I've done Timneys in a couple. Very good trigger, but keep in mind they do require some fitting. I'd use them again if they need arose.

x2. Barry at Bits of Pieces adjusted the factory triggeron my MKII and it's probably the nicest trigger of my collection.

The Timney parts are to be fitted. No filing of the original Ruger parts is required, if installed correctly. If the Timney is installed correctly, switching to another trigger or back to the original is not a problem.
