I'm interested in a dlask 10/22. I'm thinking with a 12.5 barrel and the hogue stock.

I had an sr22 previously and it was fun for letting friends and family blast away with. But I sold it to a friend.

Are the dlask considerably better quality? I can probably pick up the dlask for less than the sr22.
Any negatives with them?

what exactly are you thinking about?

getting a pre-made DAR22?
cause those are like $750

if your talking about making your own piece by piece you can easily get up over $1000 depending on what ya add onto it.

but ya, the quality if excellent on them.
all top shelf.

im running 2 builds right now using Dlask stuff.
receivers are good, barrels are good, all the internal stuff is good (pins and lock down screws and charging handles)

i think the only thing that he makes that i havnt run yet is his bolt.
and that is just because they didnt have those in stock last year when i was making my guns.

keep in mind your gonna need your own trigger group.
so either a stock one off a existing 10/22 or a Timney or a Kidd.

this is my shorty that i made.
its a Dlask receiver with a 8.5" Dlask bull barrel.
the bolt and charging handle are Kidd.
the trigger is Timney and the compensator is a custom made one from maddog's out of the states.
the stock is of course a Boyd.

and then my long range gun
its again a Dlask Receiver with a Dlask 18.5" bull barrel with a Dlask Compensator on it.
its got all Kidd guts.
Kidd Bolt, charging handle and trigger group
and all ontop of a Hogue Stock.

so far ive seen most all the after market receivers that are out there and im very confident in saying that Joe over at Dlask makes by far the best ones ive seen and shot.
his barrels are good and solid and are fantastic.
i only wish he made a aluminum barrel to match his aluminum receivers as those long barrels are very heavy.
an ideal build would be a Dlask receiver with a TacSol X-Ring barrel.
that thing would be a feather.

I've gotten a full DAR-22 16.5" and am quite happy with it. Ordering the full DAR-22 it will have a OEM trigger, but you can pay a bit more for them to do a trigger job to it. Also comes with a 10 round rotary mag. I forgot to ask about the mag when I ordered and was happy it came with one.

ok, thanks guys..
for what I'm using it for the stock trigger will be fine for now. i'll give him a call to get one ordered.
i've got a load of mags and stuff already from when I've had other 10/22s..

I bought a complete 12.5 DAR-22 from Dlask a couple of years ago. I had him do a trigger job and bolt release mod on the stock trigger group. I think he charged $65 for that, and it was well worth the price. Accuracy is exceptional.

i really like that looks of that gun right there.
that very possibly will be the next 10/22 i build.

just something about that screams "i wanna live on your quad and be your best friend when you go trail riding!"

Looks like what I'm thinking of.

Strange thing is your 12.5 looks shorter than the 10.5 posted above.

no ones had an QC issues on theirs? when you google dlask I've seen a fair few mixd reviews about the 1911's and stuff, but not much for the DAR22.

I'm debating if to get this, or another 22 pistol.. a 22/45 lite..
both could be very useful when the zombies come, lol..

"no ones had an QC issues on theirs?"

Mine had some feeding and extracting issues at first. It was my first experience with a bentz chamber, they can be very finicky and take awhile to break in . I sent it back to Dlask and he did some additional work that helped (polishing, radiused bolt, sharpen extractor, etc). This fixed 90% of the issues, I then changed to a Volquartsen extractor and different spring/rod and now, if I keep it clean and lubed, and use the right ammo it is quite reliable. Mine likes Fed Auto Match ammo. "Dr. Lector" was a huge help in getting my rifle running correctly.

I would NOT recommend a bentz chamber for a first rifle, a field rifle or plinker, it is definitely more of a bench rifle. I recently put an 8.5 Dlask sporter chamber barrel on my SR22 and it has been very reliable. The trade off is accuracy. The 12.5 bentz will do 3/8" groups at 50 yards while the 8.5 sporter will do 1/2"-3/4" groups at 25 yards.

As I'm going for the 12.5 barrel I'd go for the sporter chamber.
I shoot my rimfires a lot. My cz bolt guns have all had 1000's of rounds each summer.
This thing could easily see 500 in a shooting session.

Looks like yours is set up ready to go, want to just sell me yours? Lol

this is 20 rounds of CCI Blazers using the 8.5 Sporter @ 25 yards.
during a rain storm with wind.
(by hand, with no tracing! sorry, that just popped into my head!)
((let me reference that for those of you that are lost))
