Wolf Gold .223

...says who?

Says all of the dealers who were selling Norinco ammo. Some of the dealers still have norinco 223 left, but once thats gone its gone. The shipping company wont touch it anymore.
Perhaps a solution will be found, but maybe not, it would be very nice to have an alternative for those of us who like to shoot on a budget. Wolf Gold looks like it could be that alternative.

I have had dreadful experiences with Norinco ammo (duds on duds on duds!) Would love for another alternative to come in country for us bulk buyers!

Really? Thats strange. Bad batch maybe. Ive run close to 2k of the 223/556 without one single problem. The only Norinco round thats hasnt gone bang for me was a 45acp round that had part of the brass rolled back and wouldn't chamber, and ive shot a crate and a half of those. Im going to miss the Norinco when my pile runs out.

Haha! weird! I have shot thousands of Norinco .45 with zero issues. however, out of my 3 ARs, chambered in 5.56 (2) and .223 Wylde (1) , uppers of CMMG, Sabre and DDM4V5, my lot of norinco .223 had about 1 out of 6 go CLICK. struck primer, no other visible deformation. I honestly had a bit of a tantrum over this, did no further testing after my case was done, and simply did not buy again. So based on my one bad, initial experience, I wont shoot Norc .223 . Sounds silly, and it is lol, but it just means more ammo for everyone else until there is no more.

Regardless, back to the point of the thread, I would love to test some of this wolf gold. seems promising and slightly cheaper than the AE black box I shoot now. If it goes well I would be stocking up big time!

Same here. Far, far too many. I'll keep the duds and offer them to guys shooting mil-spec rifles, but my Tikka will click at least 1 in 10, usually more and horribly inaccurate. Somewhat regret buying, but at the price & all brass....

You are shooting bulk ammo out of a Tikka. That's like putting 87 in your Ferrari.

if the price isn't too much higher i'd probably regularly buy, especially if the quality is at all better than the norc stuff. I'm looking for a stable source of decent ammo priced for a budget shooter. in the near future i'll be needing that for 223/5.56x45 and 308/7.62x51
