this thing looks really interesting. and you can swap out the barrel for 300blk as well. I will be interested if we can get these. not sure when they become available.

Looks quite similar to the Rock River Arms piston driven pistol upper that eliminates the buffer on the back allowing it to be fired without the stock.

Sorry I didn't clarify my statement to well. I meant what's the point of buying this Arak upper to replace a AR upper when it still will be a restricted firearm? I would rather just go out and get another AR upper then spend money on a unproven design. The Arak wont sell well here because it doesn't fill a niche role here in the Canadian market.

The supposed reliability of an AK with the familiarity of an AR? - not sure if this is how it is being marketed, but that seams a reasonable synopsis.
I too think sales would be lethargic here.
There are other, better, non-restricted versions on the theme vying for shooters disposable income - Swiss Arms, H&K SL-8, and Tavors.
