M38 Mosins... Here they come!

My next purchase is going to be a 91/30 run of the mill Mosin with a strong bore.
I'm going to pay around $200.
Then I'm going to cut the barrel down to M38 length, recrown it, cut the stock down as well, reform the tip put the cap and screw on it. I can do a lot of that myself.
I'll just have to figure out how to get a front site tac welded onto the barrel, I know enough dudes personally to get most of this done for free.
It's going to be a fun project I think :rockOn:

I'm sick of the retarded prices for carbine Mosins lately, it's just going to be my personal F**K YOU to current outrageous Mosin carbine prices :D

I'm just as sick of it as you, but $250 is a great price for these. I don't even think the Americans get them that cheap.

I silver soldered my front sight base on. Works like a charm. Done right it looks just like an M38
 
It was bound to happen. M-38s and 44s were popping up all over in the states in the last few weeks and I was pretty sure we would see them here. Tradeex rocks man!:rockOn:

I was there when they came in, Bores were in very good condition, one of the 91/30's I looked at had a excellent like new bore.

I would order quick if I was after one as the other dealer's are placing their orders and they will be all gone by the new year. It takes about 6 months for the next batch to arrive.
 
Not to be off topic here, but I've been wanting a m38 for awhile. How do they shoot compared to m91/30? About the same accuracy or?? Thanks guys

Edit - I do own a m91/30 already. Beautiful blonde, great shooter

I have heard from others that they are plenty accurate enough for hunting within a few hundred yards.
