223 is just fine for deer and yotes.

The ARX is calibre swappable and is supposed to be available in .300 BlackOut. From what I've read 6.8 is likely and the 160 comes in 5.45 as well so that may be an option too.
 
When is it coming I want it already!

Where are you getting 450 bushmaster ammo? Or casings. Or hell even a barrel blank. And I'm quite sure by now everyone on CGN knows you want the all powerful NR 450 bushmaster ACR that you've been obsessing about for the last two weeks.

On a positive note I can see myself owning an ACR DMR. But until then my converted ACR does the job just fine. Attractive price to on the DMR

you can buy ammo from irunguns or other dealers on here have stock, elwood epps is one.

there is already pictures posted of a 450 NR ACR conversion on this site owned by a user here, need I go on?

FYI, Remmington and Hornady both make factory ammo for the 450, the 50 Beowulf is the harder one to get ammunition and mags for, next to impossible right now actually.

There is a guy here in Alberta working on it right now. He has his test rifle cycling and should have the final specs soon, I have introduced him to a machinist who is very experienced with building AR barrels who will be able to make the barrels for the project, casings can be made from 284win casings and dies are available so it shouldn't be too far away. I think Brian will be one of the first to have it offered to him if we can put it all together and make this happen.
 
I also prefer the DMR rifle presented above over the lighter weight barreled versions. Although I'll likely add a folder to it, just for ####s and giggles.
As for weight, seriously, I fast for a day and I lose more than that, so 1-2lbs more than other similar rifles is ####all. And vs a Tavor? well, lets see, not crappy bullpup design (yes I said it, I'm not a fan of bullpups), quick change barrel, AR type handling, etc etc etc. win to me. Probably the only thing I wish it had was an MOE+ grip, or the ability to swap that out.
 
Oh I know 1911a1 has built a 450 ACR. But Brian constantly spouts the exact same thing every post. Basically sh!t or get off the pot. This NR ACR stuff has exploded worse then the T97. Don't get me wrong. I love my ACR. But all these threads are getting nuts. With little to no info in them

The reason we didn't break this info first was because of the issues in the past with the guns brought in by Questar and converted to longer NR barrels. We know there is still a bad taste in a few peoples mouths who tried to point the finger at Gravel Agencies even though they tried to resolve a problem not created by them. Lets wait patiently for arrival and then we can decide if this is a good gun or not...just sayin. Phil.
 
I've got a Questar barreled ACR and it's better great. Way better then I expected after reading all the negativity. The only thing it doesn't run on is XM193f. But if you search around ACRforums even the factory gun doesn't like XM193f

I have researched it, I am working on a couple of different options for a 450 conversion.
No info? You just asked questions and they were answered.........
 
As a result of my first post in this thread I was asked in my store if I really thought the new ACR would match the performance of my Swiss Arms Sniper. I really don't think this is likely or even possible but the limiting factor of my Sniper model is the thing weighs a ton and extremely front heavy requiring a bench or bipod at all times (I often store this at the store and if anyone wants to handle it for comparison ask me and I'll bring it out). I rarely walk any distance with this gun as it is too heavy and uncomfotable as I'm running a NF NSX 5.5-22x50 (clearly not an off hand rifle scope combo). I'm expecting the ACR to be more user friendly with hopefully decent accuracy. My current walk around .223 is a Kimber SVT (short/varmint/target) with a 20" heavy barrel. Even with a heavy barrel it balances quite well even for my short arms and stature...but it's a bolt gun so follow up shots are a little slower. Also I use a Bushnell 6-24x40 4200 (discontinued) that is fairly compact so it works well with this set up. Phil.
