So its that time of the year for me, around this time I sit down an start reloading for the next shooting season. As I visit the local gun shops in search of loading supplies I find my self wondering about powder, or the lack of it. I know I can order it, but I like to support the local guy. I am getting awful close to ordering 21 lbs of the stuff an being done with it, but that is a lot of powder to have around. So does any one know when or if the lower mainland is going to be getting an influx of powder soon? Powders I am looking for CFE 223, R17, varget and N150

I order 21lbs every year or so. I break it up in rifle and shotgun/handgun powder and pretty much use it up. At one point in my life, shooting was really slow and I had the same 21lb order last five years. When I open the last bag in the crate, I place another order.

Doesn't seem to be much around anywhere until some shipments come next year, not really anything left anywhere for primers either.

I too order the stuff in bulk every couple years or so. It is getting to be harder all the time to find large quantities of the popular stuff. One of the best things I ever did though was buy a large amount of WC735. It has lasted well beyond my two years or so.

I've been stock piling since October getting ready to crank out next season's ammo when there's nothing to do all winter long... I'm not big into winter stuff. There's a guy on EE (Hercules10) that is/was selling Varget and H4895. Not sure if he has any by now but I'd send him a PM.

I love WC735 in my 223. Need to find a 308 cal 168 grn SMK load for it now! Helps buying it 7lb at a time!

Last time there was a real shortage of powder I ordered some Win 748 and Win 760. Not most peoples favorites but 2 powders you can use to load most any non magnum round oh and 5 lbs of Varget for my 204 ruger. Alliant Powders have been tough to find in Canada for quite some time and I don't know of a single dealer that has any available. FS
