Anyone know where the 303 is coming from

Did the same guy you heard this rumour from tell you 'AR15's will be prohibited soon - better buy one now!'. ;)

Wherever it's coming from (if true), it's probably not match quality... that's for sure.

Lots of things seem to be coming out of Greece lately. They need the money, right?

Just a wild ass guess.

Greece dumped all their .303 ammo about 15 years ago.
Beautiful stuff, HXP headstamp. I wish I bought a hell of a lot more...

I had some of that POF stuff several years ago and it was brutal for hang fires. So bad that sometimes you would think it was a dud then it would go off, great for safety training because it keep you sharp on keeping the rifle pointing in a safe direction.

Yeah, that stuff was horrible, click bang, bang, click.......bang, click................bang, bang.

There is a supplier on this site that bought sea cans of 303 from greece years ago and all of their lee enfields. He is hanging on to the ammo and I heard that is going to part out the rifles as parts only. His health is failing and and his buisness is for sale so I think you will see the ammo come on to the market sooner than you think. The rifles just may end as scrap, or sold as a lot.

flame away!

"...was brutal for hang fires..." Two flavours of it as I recall. One was extremely poor quality while the other was not. Highly unlikely there will be any milsurp ammo imported until NRCan is no longer allowed to make law by regulation.

Just throwing this out there too, but a few years ago I read an article on Russian WW2 stockpiles in storage and it showed a warehouse full of British equipment. They showed a few picks of Lewis Guns and crates, and there was a few picks of piles of 303 ammo crates. I've searched for the article and can't find it anywhere. I was just thinking that if the Russians had it, it would definetly be for sale :D
