DA/Norinco M14 Front sight

How many people have replaced the front sight on one of these with a USGI or similar one? Haven't managed to get mine out to the range yet to see how she shoots, work and family keep getting in the way (not to mention the cold). . . I know excuses are like as*holes.

But I'm just curious how many guys (and gals) have replaced their front sight?

yes, brownells nat'l match m1a front , about half the width of the norc one, very improved sight picture.

Yeah, the left "ear" was bent in on mine when I got it, so I bent it back. I'm sure an aftermarket one will be better, but this one works for now.

PS. Has anyone tried filing theirs down so as to be narrower and cover less target at distance? (Yes, I know. I'm a cheap a**hole.)

yep, did it with the sight on my 09' worked like a charm
