I met Mike the Sports fellow who is largely responsible for the great selection of firearms at Canadian Tire On Mcphillips here in Winnipeg. I tell him I want to buy a Mosin once and buy a good one. Oh you just got a shipment of K31's in? oh 20 ? Yes, I would like to browse the crate to pick one out.
Mike takes me to the vault. The vault is browsed. My eyes are drawn to the K31 with the competition stickers. I was worried the bore might be shot out, but the trigger is unbelievable , so I snagged it. The bore looks to the eye pretty slick. The micrometer might disagree however.
Next in the vault, my attention turns to the Mosins, I browse through, mostly war-time stuff, then boom, I spy a 1936. It looks amazing. The bore is dark. Yada, yada, yada, I get it home and clean it and it looks like it's made of glass.
Very very happy with the Cdn Tire selection and service.
I also picked up 480 of GP 11. Holy cow is that good stuff. Not worth explaining if you've never seen it. It's like match ammo.
anyway it's great to add to the collection, these are neat.
