How to identify: CZ 75 SP01 Series

Now I am getting confused. What are the pistols in this SP01 series? I know the Shadow with FLDC and rail, Shadowline with FLDC, tuned trigger, new hammer and grip. The Tactical version with decocker. What exactly are the major differences among these pistols? Am I missing anything? Who is the importer of CZ firearms in Canada? CRAFM or R. Nicholls?
 
I found the CZ website pretty helpful, it is confusing to someone new to CZ like myself. Waiting on the CZ75 SP-01 Shadow myself.
 
I still cant figure out the cz lines I want one just can never remember which one I shot.
So is the shadow a sp01? Is the sp01 something else? Whats a phantom? 75 or 85? What the hell is a shadowline.
 
Sp01 shadow has a rail, regular 75b shadow does not. Same applies to shadow line. Phantom has polymer receiver.
 
There are definitely several pistols in the SP01 series right now:

Basic CZ SP01

These will look like all the full length dust cover shadows in the series. Externally, the only difference you will notice is a standard blackened front and rear sight. Internally, it has the firing pin block and the standard springs.

This is the most basic model of the CZ SP01 Shadow. The Shadow designation means its built for competition in comparison to other pistols in the SP01 series. The competition features with this pistol include competition style Novak black sights, fibre optic front sight, and no firing pin block. The last feature allows for a smoother and possibly lighter trigger pull.

Now onto the Shadowline pistols... This is where it gets complicated...

CZ75 SP01 Shadow Line

First up we have the CZ SP01 Shadow Line aka Shadow Line with full length dust cover. The Shadow Line pistols are a new addition to the SP01 series this past year. These pistols are essentially upgraded versions of the basic CZ SP01 Shadow model. Externally, they share the same sights as the regular model with the exception of flush safeties, smaller CZ75 style slide release andShadow Line engraved Aluminium grips. Internally, they come with a stainless steel guide rod, and tuned reduced main and recoil springs for competition shooting. If you can find one, BUY IT!

CZ75 Shadow Line aka CZ Shadow with short dust cover aka CZ Shadow Mate

This pistol shares the same external and internal upgrades as the above Shadow Line pistol. As you will quickly notice, this one does not have a full length dust cover. Some competition shooters prefer this model over the full length dust cover because the lighter front allows them to transition between targets faster.

CZ75 SP01 Shadow - Canadian Edition
From what I've been told, there's actually 3 tiers for the Canadian Edition Pistols. Without going into too much detail, these pistols command a premium price on the market due to its hand fitted barrels, hand fitted frame and slide, tuned trigger, tuned competition hammer.... list goes on. If you really want to find out the differences, do a quick search here find the article where Slavex comments on the difference of each model.
 
FWIW the SP-01 frame is slightly different than the SP=01 Shadow. The undercut at the trigger guard and the beavertail are not as deep on the SP-01.

This is what I wanted: CZ75 SP01 Shadow or CZ75 SP01 Shadow Line. I hope to get one early next year, budget permitting. Based on description, CZ75 SP01 Shadow - Canadian Edition might not be IPSC Production class legal due to several parameters. I might be wrong though.

You are wrong, canadian edition is approved for ipsc because anything extra is done at the factory

(If its worth the extra money though, that is up for debate)
 
no problem. Grab a shadowline if you can. everything done to them is generally what you would do to a regular shadow anyways and even just the aluminum grips are $75 on their own and its usually only $50 compared to a regular shadow
 
Any idea who is the Canadian Importer? CRAFM, R. Nicholls comes up doing a google search. Maybe another company is officially the exclusive importer of CZ firearms in Canada. Also, is DLASK the warranty centre for CZ in Canada?

last I heard Dlask is the warranty center, no idea on the importer though
