I may not own a .45 anymore (although the .44 mag remedies that a bit), but it sure is nice to own some REAL handguns that aren't Norcs.
 
Good god what were you thinking? Don't you know any serious gun owners should own at least one .45?

You did what I did selling .45 and buying 9mm. Don't do any more crazy stuff like this having more fun shooting 9mm and way cheaper ;)
 
I better buy another .45, I have about 500 rounds of the stuff kicking around still. As well as 1911 mags, holsters etc.

And technically I still own the Norc. Just have it on consignment so the wife will believe I'm actually selling it. ;) The P30 is ridiculously nice though. What a work of art!
 
You should get a Houge grip for the .44 Mag, makes it shootable, at least for me. You can load down to .44 special levels if you want to.

F*** it, keep the Norc and buy yourself a brand new Colt GCT or XSE. Laugh2. But, you might be sleeping in the garage but at least you will have a brand new 1911.
 
I take it the M&P isn't a .45? [M&P45 is a GREAT gun!]

I won't criticize your decision...I made a similar one a while back to abandon 9mm, although I have reneged on it slightly by buying a 9mm conversion barrel for my M&P40 as a just-in-case measure.

I'm also seriously considering selling both my Norc 1911s [both very good guns] if I finally score a Sig P227, abandoning the 1911 platform. I'll always be a fan of the .45ACP cartridge however...heading for its 110th birthday and still going strong!
 
According to my wife the Norc commander has the same value as these three firearms. ;)

It's almost as bad as the time I had 3 1911's in 3 different calibre's and she thought they were all the same gun. I'm a sneaky bastard.
 
Now this is funny! My wife took a while before she started to catch on.

I just sold off my last .45ACP HG as my interests have moved to revolvers in 44mag and 460V. I'll keep my 9mm auto for plinking and 22lr for kiling time.
If a nice 625 comes along I'll be back into the 45's again. Damn I wish my friend would sell me his...at least he lets me shot it.

I think anytime your getting rid of a norinco its a good move. but really the p30L is nice, the M&P has always made my stomach churn :puke:
 
First thing I'd do is cut that 44 back to about 4 1/2 inches. I just don't get have a handgun with a barrel as long as some of my rifles. If you get a good quality 45 like a SIG 1911 or an HK 45 it will soon change your mind on the caliber. Now anything in a .40 I can live without:stirthepot2:

I thought the same way but just had to have the 7.5" Bisley Hunter! I figured if I can't go shorter than 4.2" I might as well go long :). However, it would look interesting cut down....
