I just bought a Norinco NS522 Match sporting rifle.

I'm looking for a good rimfire scope but I don't want to go crazy on the price.

This rifle is intended for target shooting only so I would like to have high magnification.

Budget is about 250-300$ new or used.

Ideas ???

If you have a Sail close by, go take a look at one of the Redfield Revenge 6-18x44AO. Around $300, wait for a no-tax sale, and they also have a mail in rebate until the end of December.
If you can find an older Bushnell Legend 5-15x44 they are decent as well, the new ones with side focus are made in China and a drop in quality.

The Bushnell legend 5-15 can still be found here, just over $200 shipped.

The shipping is brutal but as you said they are no longer being made and I guess he bought a box of them.
A smarter sales person could have priced it at $200 plus $20 shipping.

The Bushnell has interesting features for the price but I have an Elite 10X40 and I don't like the mildot reticle, its just too thick for target shooting.

The Redfield on the other hand seems to be more what I'm looking for.

Any other ideas ?

Looks like tax in with that too.....$220 to the door sounds a bit better. May have to get one....can never have too many scopes :)
