The only thing odd about it is that they haven't done it sooner. There's a number of very popular cartridges based off the diminutive case and NO ONE was making high quality brass for this segment of the shooting market.

I shoot .300 Blackout in bolt guns and I look forward to having high quality brass at my disposal. I'm sure plenty of other .221FB, .17FM. and others who wildcatt off the case will buy it as well.

Lapua makes all their brass. Historically only .222 Rem(no Lapua-made) and .300WM were contracted.
Will have more info on 7mm bullets and new brass after Shot.

Or better yet, why don't they make brass for some of the 7mm F class calibres they mentioned in the press release(284 win, Shehane, 7wsm or 7saum) Seems logical to make brass for the chamberings that your bullets are designed for. Or maybe I'm overthinking this.
