Does everyone spend 300+ dollars on weapon lights???

Canadian Tire has a special on 3.5 Million candle light spotlight on half price ($22.49) right now. Pair that with some duct tape and you're looking at less than thirty bucks! But as far as tac lights actually go, buy a good flashlight and a cheap mount, best way to go to save some coin.

I seen a guy that mounted a Princess Auto LED flashlight on his gun, it fit the mounts perfect and looked pretty good on there. It cost him under $20.00

I got a princess auto spotlight I use with a shotgun for late night pests. No duct tape needed. Predator hunters who do hunt at night go this route(usually a better spot), or use the kind that clamps on your scope tube.

Nope, Browning Crossfire 2AA LED $25.00 and came with free hat. High/low/strobe and all 3 temporary(pressure) on or "click" on. Has survived through a couple hundred slugs and buckshot including 3" magnums. *shrug*
Crossfire 2AA Flashlight: Cree LED shines at 125 lumens
• 150 yards max distance
• High, Low and Fast-Strobe
• 24 hours Run Time on Low
• Lock-Out Tail Cap
• LED rated for 50,000 hours

We ran a tactical night shoot at TMSA a few months ago. Almost 40 of us bumbling around in the dark.

We were shocked to find that many of the best lights were cheap Made in China no-names, often bought off DX.com It was also interesting to find that there wasn't really one great "fits-all"... Ones that were plenty bright and would illuminate target out to 50 meters or so were often too bright in CQB. Sure made me miss paraflares from back in the Army days...

Basically we all learned you are best to be hunkered down at night!

I love Inforce lights, I got APL on my P30L and WML on a Tavor, thinking of purchasing few more WMLs for other guns.

You guys don't do enough research. $200 for a light?

Look for "ultrafire" on ebay. You can get 1000-2000 lumens for about $15. Yes I have one, and yes it is as advertised. All these American companies like Surefire just buy from Chinese companies and rebrand them at a premium. Just buy direct.

I bought the UltraFire WF-502B, they have them selling direct out of the States for $11. $300? - pfft.

There are a lot of clones of Surefires, Streamlights, etc. coming out of China that can put out similar lumens to the genuine articles. They're generally not anything you'd want to put on a firearm however as they're not designed to stand up to extended recoil and their overall durability and QC leaves quite a bit to be desired. Do you have any evidence of real Surefires being manufactured in China? Also 1,000-2,000 lumens sounds like a bit much considering weaponlights rarely exceed a few hundred. Anything more than that tends to put out too much light and you risk blinding yourself if it reflects off an interior wall.

Think mine was $30 with pressure switch. Mounted on a AR for 3 years now. Works just fine. Good old chinese crap.

WHAT ARE YOU USING THESE LIGHTS FOR???? I have a $5 light mounted to my 22 for coon hunting, it has seen thousands of rounds cold weather, been chucked into the car, dragged trough the woods and just keeps going, 200lm cree zoomable strobe-high-low on a $3 mount all from ebay.
