I got a princess auto spotlight I use with a shotgun for late night pests. No duct tape needed. Predator hunters who do hunt at night go this route(usually a better spot), or use the kind that clamps on your scope tube.Canadian Tire has a special on 3.5 Million candle light spotlight on half price ($22.49) right now. Pair that with some duct tape and you're looking at less than thirty bucks! But as far as tac lights actually go, buy a good flashlight and a cheap mount, best way to go to save some coin.

$17 from china. Made out of aluminum, about 200 lumens with on and strobe mode. I haven't shot with it yet, but the mount seems pretty solid and it is plenty bright.
Did you buy it off ebay? Did it come with a mount at $17??
You guys don't do enough research. $200 for a light?
Look for "ultrafire" on ebay. You can get 1000-2000 lumens for about $15. Yes I have one, and yes it is as advertised. All these American companies like Surefire just buy from Chinese companies and rebrand them at a premium. Just buy direct.
I bought the UltraFire WF-502B, they have them selling direct out of the States for $11. $300? - pfft.
