I was digging around through some old bookshelves at my parents' house this evening. Found some video from around 1996. Wow, things have changed since then...

Threw them all out a coupe years ago when I was looking to find some space in storage.
After the first couple of issues, it was the same thing over and over again - yet another introduction to IPSC, etc.

Where were you to get the autograph HB?

The North American Championships were held in BC in 1995. Nyle Leatham was doing photography for American Handgunner and was staying in his camper that was parked on the range. Robbie was visiting his father and I knocked on the camper door, looking for his autograph. Not only did he graciously agree to sign my copy of GunGames, but he and his father invited me into the camper to sit down and enjoy a Coke with them. I wasn't there for very long, but was quite impressed that they took the time to talk about the match with some nameless C class shooter and about their impressions of BC.

Definitely TGO in my books.

still remember meeting Rob in the parking lot at a US nationals. Pants at his ankles while adjusting his knee braces showing clips of the Chappelle show to everybody. Nice guy.

I saw my first racegun on an issue in '97 when I was trying to figure out which handgun I wanted to buy, never knew the sport existed until I saw it in that mag, which prompted me to go and watch the closest weekly matches held in So. California, (Jojo Vidanes was running them weekly (and still is), KC Eusebio was only 7 years old shooting there then, bought my first racegun from Jojo and was hooked ever since....all because of GunGames magazine !!

Some of the most drop dead gorgeous guns ever photographed were in GG. I was sad to see them go. They were one of the few mags that was fun to read. It was about the sport, without all the mall ninja jello junky bullshift you get in so many of the others mags. RIP GG.

Get RECOIL magazine...it is available online much cheaper and easier than paperback...although i prefer the paperback. Has competition shooters...gear..trucks ...all with tactical type themes...lots of guns.etc. my favorite magazine.
