New "lower priced" SHV Nightforce scope unveiled

on an hunting rig at that pricing ..... my question was not innocent as the lenses will be the same and the final scope will be out from the same factory ... LOW if they re made in Japan.
BTW like the Husmekawa ....

i wont say that NF is not that good but i know some forces around the world are using NF but some others Bushnell ....

Milspec...c'est la vache!

But all funning aside, the Nightforce will be a better scope and more durable with a better warranty. Their 2.5-10x32 always appealed to me. I would have put one on my SAN had I not swapped out the Mark 4 from my 300WM.

The name alone will sell boatloads of them.
For similar money would you buy a vortex,Bushnell,leupold...or a nightforce....?
People buy vx-1's because it has the leupold name on it...when in fact its no better than a similarly priced scope from a dozen other manufacturers.

Yup....the 2.5-10 X 42mm is a nice size scope and still the quality that goes with the NXS...expand that model one more time and make the 3.5-15 available in that size package.
I have several NF scopes and have been very pleased overall....not an S&B, but not S&B dollars either.

Making a cheap NF is selling the name only....it's just a Sightron then.

BUM,

I agree Milspec can be great and this one can be appealing really if they re like the others NF but less expensive.

im waiting for them to hit the market then some time then maybe ...

I'm sure that you're right Jerry. I'm an old Fudd with scopes and I readily admit that. I like smaller objective lenses and moderate power at the top end (remember when a 3-9x was a varmint scope?). That said, I am not the masses and I'm sure that we will see gobs of triangular boxes flying off the shelves. Now that it's in the same ballpark as Leupold VX series and Zeiss I twill be incredibly popular.

Boy your a little out of the loop...NF switched to rectangular boxes a couple of years ago, other than that your spot on. Phil.

WTF ???? whatever ....

lol .... Pilot2001 from which factory the NF are made in Japan ?

what about the new Bushnell 3-12x44 LHRS there will be a lot of talks when this one will be released, wanna bet?

I would imagine these are set to compete against a particular group of other scope in that value which makes perfectly fine business sense to me.

As for the folks complaining about the options, Santa Clause never said you had to buy it, your Bushnell's are still there, they didn't take em away.

We had our first look at the new SHV line along with a DND technitian and very experienced and demanding customer. It was exactly what the shooter expected and he was happy to make purchase.

Regards,

Peter
