.375 Ruger Alaskan anyone shoot one or hunt with one

Better than the 375 Ruger, I'm shooting a 416 Ruger Alaskan ;)
Worked up a very accurate load pushing the 350 TSX's over the chrono avg 2430fps, great fun :)

Yup, my other guns are very dusty and JEALOUS...............................................Almost all my guns are relegated to "backup" duty now. Its not like anything I shoot will be killed TOO MUCH by using a .375
Growing up in NFLD, I have had to spend way too much time educating the hunters that a .223 is NOT MOOSE MEDICINE.(NOR IS IT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING LEGAL) Since I have been home (2 weeks) I have literally heard 9 (NINE!!!) different men say what a good round a .223 or .22-250 is for moose. Geesus krist. It is discouraging that there is so little respect for the big game animals these days. When I mention that I use a .375, after the snickers and laughter end, they ask what elephants I have shot so far here in Canada. PLEASE , use enough gun for the game. They deserve at least that. (now I have had a couple of hunters give me some GLARES, and gues what, they should give me a glare, cause I called them out and told them if I even hear of a moose being shot with anything other than a true LEGAL big game gun, I`ll personally turn them in, or smack the friggin face off them. )
Lets see what happens. Just as well they shoot the moose with a goddamned spitball. FFS

Wherever my hat is hung when it happens is where I want to be put, cause that is my chosen home at the time. I just wont divulge TOO MUCH , for fear of someone digging up my ruger, and leaving me with a seized up, 180year old, 10 bore for defence and hunting the after-world, that is as long as the coffin will be.

CGN'r "Doug" let me take his for a spin when I was in Kingston 2012. I didn't kick as hard as I thought it would and I printed a respectable group. Definitely a round you have to reload for ($$). Would I rush out and buy one....probably not.

I love mine. It's become my go-to everything rifle over my 340 Wby. Overall and all-around, I don't think the cartridge is anywhere near as versatile as the 340, it's just such a nice, compact, portable package to carry in the woods.

What's a little grave-robbing between friends?
