Hey Folks,

I'm excited to share thoughts about my first 1911 which happens to be an upgraded Norc 1911 government(from CanAm combo deal) bought off EE.

This Norc has the below upgraded parts
- Wilson combat trigger
- Dan Wesson slide stop, flat main spring housing, full length guide rod+spring

I've held off owning a 1911 due to what you read online about reliability issues and such but when I saw this sweet deal I decided to take the plunge.

Now I've owned several pistols Glock 22, Sig P220, Grand Power K100, CZ 75B, S&W 686

But I have to say this Norc 1911 is my fav out of all by far to shoot and no other pistol feels better than holding a solid steel 1911 beauty :)

Some have negative things to say about Chinese made Norcs but for the money I couldn't be happier and I think it looks damn nice with the upgrades.

With the deal also came with Kimber .22lr kit which btw works perfectly on this Norc.

Needless to say I'm now a converted 1911 fan and with it my gun addiction is fully satisfied lol.

Nice.

I like to use that kind of trigger in my 'shooter' 1911's, too.

The Norinco 1911 is a great buy now a day when shooters want to try 1911 and they hold their value pretty good. I had bought two used and they are all good shooters.

Nice buy. :)
A few years back I was waiting and waiting for a Dealer to send me the new tweaked STI I had bought ( the Dealer has been trashed here the past few years ) and got fed up "needing" a 1911 so I bought a used Norinco with some upgrades off this site. Figured it would also be better to screw around with the Norinco at a third of the price. Loved it. Absolutely 100% reliable.
When my STI finally arrived, of course it went off to the range and it's a beautiful gun but the Norinco gets shot a lot more. :)

....and with it my gun addiction is fully satisfied lol at least you know you're only fooling yourself!
Looks like a "newer" model without the made in China stamp. That was a bit of a turn off when I owned one.
Enjoy the Norc1911 & 22lr conversion combo.

This 1911 was from one of those Canam 1911(no made in china stamp) and ammo combo deals that a lot of people snapped up and have been showing up on EE gun alone.

From my understanding these Norcs are supposed to have been an older production with rougher finish, tooling marks etc but mine looks just fine to my eyes.

Norinco 1911A1's....

In a ~ 30 year love affair with the 1911 pistol I've easily owned > 100 different ones. Many Colts. Lots of USGI 1911A1's. Currently, still have a few. Even own a spankin' new Ruger SR1911, too. However, on Norinco's I must be an anomaly as I have owned some of them, too. And still have a few.

I usually like to change out the triggers & grips but usually leave everything else pretty much alone. Never had a lemon yet:

My latest is a Can Am deal Norc 1911A1 [picked up off the EE new in the bag]. Added my own USGI replacement grips:

I wish I had found out how good these Norcs are when CanAmo still had stock on the combo deal.

I was very skeptical about Chinese made quality so I passed but would have picked one up knowing what I know now...

I got a great deal on mine but would have had no reservations about another 1911 + ammo combo

Great looking gun, the finish on this one look very nice and smooth.

I have no idea where as I bought the gun with the upgrades. I would like to know as well if there's a store in Canada we can order from.

That looks nice. Where did you get the Dan Wesson parts from? I'm going to be upgrading mine as well, and that slide stop look nice.
