Holy ####, I am a convert, thanks Suputin. Based off of today I can think of 5 people, at least, that will be buying 300 BO rifles over the next year. More money, more money!

LOL, well you definitely picked a good source to teach you about the 300BLK.
I love my PWS in 300BLK. With a 9.75 inch barrel and my handloads I can make 10 shot groups bordering on MOA @ 100yds with my 110gr v-max load. Probably better if I could just learn to take my time between squeezes :D

Once I figured out my powders and loads my AR can cycle loads from 110gr v-max all the way through 208gr A-max.
The only downside, which is also an upside in a way is getting brass. Factory brass is not easy to come by but it can be made out of 223 brass. I have thousands of pieces of 223 but the conversion process is time consuming. I've made 700 so far so I should be good for a while.
Definitely get yourself a brass catcher ;)

I've posted some data in the reloading section with Suputin's thread and in a couple others outlining my findings with load development for semi auto's in 300BLK, PM me when you get one if you have any questions about loads.

I am working on getting ammo. That is the only thing holding me back....brass is not readily available, unless you want to cut down .223 brass

I'm one of those 5 converts....now just to figure out what gun I will buy a .300 in first! I handload, so loading for the .300 isn't an issue for me. It's being able to keep up with the loading that might be a concern!

I've been tempted to make up a 300BLK upper but the issue with brass kinda kills it for me. Maybe I'll rethink it over again next spring.

Oh no, I've created a monster. :D

Note to self: Next time demoing a cool gun to firearm keeners .... bring more ammo! ;) By the end we were rationing ammo so everyone could have a go.

Yep, we covered that as well.

Honestly cutting down 223 is the best way. I have done both and the 221 FB option is way too expensive. I tend to keep the 221 origin brass for use in my bolt gun and run the 223 origin brass in the AR's.

Speak to Rookie{OMC} about brass forming. He has a way that is very quick and he did a ton of cases for me. Maybe he can start up a side business forming Blackout cases for customers. :stirthepot2:

It was nice to meet you guys. I think it is safe to say everyone had a good time. I apologize if I have forever ruined the shooting experience for you. I just don't see the need to make all that noise. It is ....uncivilized. :D

Complete newb here, so I apologize if I offend, but if given the choice, why would someone choose the .300BLK over the 6.9SPC?

Hummm, might be in the cards for next year. I'll definitely need to pickup a brass catcher for this puppy! I'd hate to go chasing down precious brass after every mag change. p

It's really a simple process to convert the .223 brass over. Brass catcher is a necessity though.
