We need a Jr carbine or Thureon defense carbine...Non restricted in 7.62x25. Maybe make it to take TT33 mags. Make a nice plinker with cheap ammo. At least till the surplus dries up.

Yup! TT mags and make it semi-auto (or bolt).

It would have enough punch to get a deer.

You should ask irunguns to bring in some of these.

They are considered handguns in USA. But they would be a restricted rifle in Canada.

Well, I don't see it so black and white.
Considering it's marketed as a pistol, they would likely classify it as a pistol.
If you attach a stock to it, and call it a rifle(regardless of barrel length), they may still consider it a pistol(like the circuit judge)
It's stupid, but that outcome wouldn't be surprising.

Can the 7.62x25mm work in a blowback firearm?

In the terms of registration; once a pistol, always a pistol.

The importer would be wise to remember that. The possibility to rebarrel to non-restricted would be a motivating factor in quite a few sales ;). It would be wise to import as a rifle, and base the classification off of barrel length.

There is precedence with carbines that are marketed in the US as a pistol being non-restricted here. Case in point the Ranch Hand.

I would really like a X25 carbine , i thought a TNW PPSH 41 was in the works ? I have a crap load or czech surplus i need to shoot .. Its a really hot little round im guessing out of a long barrel it would be in the 1700 to 1800 fps range ..

I would sooner have a Jr. style carbine that takes the TT33 mags. at least you get 8 rounders, they are plenty and cheap.. Any PPSH would need to be pinned to 5.

Yes..A little bolt gun tube fed would be nice..or a little lever. I did a little messing with Quick load. 90gr.XTP with a 19" barrel would run about 2,120fps. I even thought about building a barrel for my T/C pro hunter. 28" barrel gets it to 2,240fps.

I wish there was a lil bolt action rifle available aswell. sure be a good fungun, and inexpensive to run

eBay has these chamber adapters for about $40 shipped recent boom of M38 rifles.... they're fairly "lil"
