that was kind of my point, the cheap ammo out there is FMJ, for those that do not reload, buying reloading equipment makes it a far less frugal option.

you don't really need crate quantities of hunting ammo do you? a box of 20 JHP should last a while I think, save the surplus for plinkin.

yes, prvi/ppu makes it, Canada Ammo might be able to get you some since they show some prvi/ppu sku's on their site I'd think they can get more in.

I been toyin with the idea of doing a M1 carbine up in this ammo fits the mag good and all that to. think the cong did this back in the day and I have seen one M1 that came outa lever arms in it way back in the day.
also haven't got to measureing yet but had wondered about a simple chamber insert for M1 carbine aswell not sure if that would work or not

The bolt action rifle version is on my to buy list. The magazines interchange between the two as well. They should came with shorter barrels to make it a even more compact package, but maybe the barrel will be user/gunsmith replaceable.
The only reason I'd favour the .22tcm over the 7.62x25mm is that on PEI, .22centerfires are the largest we can use on coyotes. Which leaves the 7.62x25 as a plinker only.

Anyone try 7.62x25 in glock 20 mags for fit and feed? If so glocks would be convertible. Also the tnw asr should convert easily(if we ever get some). And the thureon should be convertible as well.

Anyone got some glock and tok to give this a try?

7.62 does not fit in glock 20 mags unfortunately. I had considered buying one to convert but it's a no-go. I'd love both a modern semi-auto pistol and rifle chambered for 7.62x25.

Yes, a new magwell would be needed for the Tokarev mag.

Does anybody in Canada make an upper for it? There are companies in the US that make an upper and a mag well adapter to use PPSH mags.
