MDT LSS chassis opinion.

I met Lazslo from MDT yesterday. Got to check out and test fire a couple of rifles in the new chassis. I did note that one of the chassis was set up to accept AR mags. THAT would be interesting for a 300 BLK rifle.

My only suggestion would be the addition or option of a plastic forend handguard as the bare aluminum is kinda cold on the hands in cool weather. Otherwise I like the new chassis a lot more than the original one.
 
Is it just me or would it look funny with a 20"+ barrel? I really like the idea as it looks great and costs the same as most DBM but I think it would look funny with a 24" barrel.

When there is one that takes AR mags I'll be ordering one :D
 
I think the AI system is as good as it gets.

Other than the fact I have many AR mags I think personally I like how the AI sits vs the AR mag.

Plus how many bolt mags does one need.

I see the point of people wanting them.

But here is my point. Have you ever seen an oops. 300 black out shot in a 223 upper ? Not saying it would happen.
But I know what's loaded in my 4 AI mags.

I believe he saw/tested the proto-type Mossberg MVP chassis... the MVP bolt design has a spring-loaded lip on the underside of the bolt to strip rounds from the AR mags... you can have a bolt gun that uses the AR mags in the LSS chassis, but you will need the MVP donor gun to do it...

MDT just reported that they're coming out with a Mossberg MVP offering so I suspect that's what Suputin has seen.

That is 1 ### rifle. Can u hunt with that or is it illegal to cause of the stock?
 
Yes the Mossberg is the one Suputin saw at the range. Nice little setup. It was the proto of course, but the real ones should be out soon according to MDT.
 
I love my LSS mounted with the SPS Tac 20" .223 for coyote hunting this winter!



Like tiriaq sez, once we switch that barrel (I just did with my .22-250 18.5" Remmy sporter barrel), the platform is one totally different rifle. It's so light, it's a joke! :D
