Magnetospeed Chronograph

Well I had never heard of the magnetospeed chronograph so just spent the last 20 minutes or so reading reviews and checking out their web site. I'm also very interested in hearing if anyone has experience with this device. Certainly sounds intriguing.
 
Assuming it works as advertised the biggest problem I could see with it is the fact that it is secured to your barrel, which can affect accuracy and is obviously undeseriable for load development. Obviously the giant bonus is never again having those days when the light, or rain, won't let you chrony work.

Would be great to try one.
 
As cam1936 said, it hangs from the barrel so it will change POI coz of weight and the way it affects exiting gases. But it's easier to setup & less likely to shoot at so if you still want it X-reload(google it) also stock it and talk to Rene(# 1-855-389-0386), tell him Av sent you and he may even give you a deal.

Wouldn't you think that the inventor of this system would have shot off the unit a great many times on a great many different rifles to see if point of impact changes when using this unit? FS

Quite possibly, doesn't change the fact that anything hanging off your barrel like the has the potential to affect both POI and accuracy.
