how do these two 22's compare......is the little badger made from pot metal or is it an actual steel receiver like the M6?

Pretty obvious comparison but,

One is available new and relativity inexpensive.
The other is no longer available new and relatively expensive if found used.

The lil badger receiver is solid milled steel.

Why do you have a full size wooden stock rifle against two barebones pack rifles?
If it's the m6 vs badger the badger wins hands down. Easier to find, sturdier rifle with rails so you can mount things easily. Add on the fact it has garand style adjustable sights and a bull barrel it is an easy choice for $200

If you want a full size rifle compare the cz to the 10/22 and winchester rifles.
 
I have a Remington 597 heavy barrel, I used to have an AR7... I miss my AR7 and my CZ/Bruno; all very good rifles for what they do but I am really thinking about getting a Little Badger. More or less they are not a new kind of rifle they are just an adaption of the bicycle gun. In-fact I have seen a very very old on that is very much the same less the rail system.
 
I have my new Little Badger sitting beside me right now. I don't know what metal the receiver is made of, but it is not magnetic, so not likely steel. I don't think it is milled either, looks like a pretty good casting. The sights, rails, and butt are plastic. Oh so is the thread protector on the muzzle. As for comparing it to the M6 scout... way cheaper, and you can buy it now. I've never seen an m6 in person.

have my little badger right here with me, just happened to be doing some measuring on it when i saw this thread.
i think i got my badger for $180 brand new.
im in my 40's and i frequent gun stores way too much and ive never seen a M6..... ever.

ive had my badger out a couple times and it is light as a feather and hits bulls all day long.
and it is very very very quiet.
its a permanent resident in my Quad now and i cant foresee any time when id replace it.
actually that's a lie, i can foresee replacing it.... my 2 daughters have been eying it up, so i fear i might have to pick them up a pair.
for under $200 a piece i wont even bat an eye getting them each one for B-days this year.

you want to compare a pack gun that you can get to a unicorn, right?
i guess i answered it with a question.
 
lol..maybe a unicorn..but the M6's are around. If the lil' badger had a all steel receiver I would be all over it, but being a $160 gun I had my doubts. I did have a M6 and they are a quality piece..all steel contruction but they are not worth $1000 dollars, I would like to find another or something similar so that is why I'm asking about the Lil' Badger.
 
If you can find an m6 scout in Canada for under a grand buy it and dont look back . I have seen 2 at different gun stores and should have bought the first one i saw . I believe the asking price was 250 bucks but i was a starving student and beer was more of a priority, the other was in milarm and i think it was 1200 with the plastic box in 22mag and 410. The only other place to get one would be from the us off of gunbroker for 500-800 bucks plus your import costs. At this rate i could buy 5 little badgers and still be happy or by 2 double badgers and be just as content. I do have a little badger and like it imensely yes the reciever looks like a casting but so is the ar7, riger 10/22 and many other popular rimfire and center fire guns so I think iam ok for now.
 
if my lil' badger breaks ill be the first one in here screaming and throwing stuff around.
but until you see me doing that assume im abusing it and not cleaning it and its still working for me.... cause thats what im doing!
