If you only rifles chambered in 2 cartridges, what would they be?

If you read the tread rimfire and shotguns don't count.

If you only rifles chambered in 2 cartridges, what would they be?

No where in this poorly worded question does it say no shotgun or rimfire cartridges. I would assume the question is suppose to say, "If you could only use two centerfire rifle cartridges, what would they be?" but that's not whats being asked so that's not what I answered.

And if he really read the thread he would have seen that it wasn't "2 guns" It was guns chambered in "2 cartridges" Combo guns don't count

The poorly worded question could be argued that the meaning is a "rifles" that is chambered for 2 cartridges. Even your reply is agreeing with that. I read the thread but thanks.

If you read through the thread he corrects it to say CENTERFIRE.

Ok. So anyone reading this now, what the original post is suppose to say is, "If you could only use 2 centerfire rifle cartridges, what would they be?" The question implies you can have as many guns as you want but they must only be chambered for the 2 cartridges you have chosen. Give your reason to make things more interesting.

My answer,

.223 and .308.

CZ 527 FS in .223 as my light game hunting rifle, CZ 550 LUX .308 as my heavy game hunting rifle.

Lots of other fun gun options chambered for these two rounds.

.223 - Vz 58, AR-15, Kel Tec SU-16, SG 542, and Type 97.

.308 - .308 Lee Enfield, Norinco M305, and SG 540.

Picking these two chamberings have helped to closely mimic the centerfire rifle gun collection I currently already have so I basically have no losses by choosing these two chamberings.

Plus, .223 is the "premier" west coast deer cartridge...

Was this question prompted by a wife who does not understand that "Man cannot live with only two rifles"!

Henceforth, the question is "Invenerial and up-my-testical"!!!
