I was wanting to get a larue predatar in 7.62 and was wondering if anyone has ever brought one in from the US. I think irunguns could do it but I'm not sure if there is even an FRT number for one in Canada. Anyone have any info?

LaRue isn't registered with State Department. Their attitude towards us is pretty pathetic, too.

There are very good 7.62 AR options in Canada, mainly LMT and KAC.

The guns have been imported into Canada & have a FRT / currently the distributor only services LE/MIL sales, they are hoping that will be changing over the next couple of weeks...

Based on LaRue's current back log you are at least 9-12 months out if you order a gun...

Someone better update that chart then. They still pissed on us anyway.

They have to be registered with the U.S. State Department to sell to Military IIRC (considering so many End users purchase their pop-up targets and scope mounts for military use). Just that nobody bothers with selling them canucks as they could sell 2 or 3 times what they produce already to the American market.

I suppose if you managed to get a hold of one you could get a custom import like Prophet river to do it; BUT gooooood luck getting a hold of one!

I guess I'll wait and see if the commercial sales that gadget mentioned may pan out. I was thinking gunbroker and irunguns to try to get one up here.

Rampart International is supposedly the new Canadian LE dealer and is SUPPOSEDLY wanting to bring them in for civilian sales, but SFRC said they were going to be doing orders as well and that never panned out...

I would honestly not hold my breath for a Canadian dealer, the waiting times for American sales ALONE would be 1-2 years before we'd see any production runs here. If you could manage to find one for sale in the USA, buy it and get it sent to Prophet river's US FFL and even in a worst case scenario you can't import it? NO problem getting it re-sold in the USA.
