Hey,

So I'm hunting for a couple cases on the cheap... and theammosource is offering $199 for 1320 rounds of bulgarian... usually its 1440 so youre down over a hundred rounds and a few bucks off... plus shipping of about $40 per crate...So pushing $250 per crate. (I just got in 4 crates of Polish 1970s 54R that cost me $122 to ship).

Where local to edmonton is a decent place to buy for a good price? Best place online? Marstar and Frontier firearms have no good deals at the moment.

I just noticed I'm down to less than a full crate of x39.. Need at least one full crate in reserve at all times.

Wholesale Sports had Czech 90's production on sale for Boxing week for $199 here in Winnipeg. I picked up a case of the same on sale there about a month ago for $225. Check out your local one there in Edmonton to see if they're carrying, not sure what the price will be after tonight though, but it's been on sale frequently over the last couple months. And it's all on beautiful stripper clips in the plastic packaging! No spam lid to cut open with an axe! :)

WSS had X39 Czeck crates for 199 not long ago, but I didn't need any. I'm keeping my eye out for local X54r. There are some not bad prices online but when you add 40 bucks for shipping to Edmonton, its not much of a break, considering they don't deliver to the acreage and I have to drive in to the truck depot during bus hours only. Its less hassle to just pay the local price on my own time, which I haven't gone yet.

I think Henry at Budget had cases of x39 for 225 shipped the last time i looked at his site.

Honestly if you guys can get crates of russian/eastern bloc 7.62x39 or 7.62x54R for under $220.00 in your hands all in, grab it.

It's only going to get worse.

Just recently got a crate of 880 of russian silver stripe 54R from Whole sale sports for $209.00 all in, don't regret it one bit. It's regular $269.00!, was on sale.

I must have not been paying attention to that sale on X54r, but did see the X39 on sale. I remember seeing the x54r at 279/case when they had it labeled as 125grain... stupid f**ks

I'm still shooting my $110 cases of x39 that I picked up and stacked to the ceiling five years ago. I still have x54 but I'd jump on a few crates if they were a good price local.

Yeah, I managed to grab a case of x54 at that price as well, only mine's Czech. All their surplus seemed to be rotating on and off sale for the last couple months, hopefully it continues. Cabelas is stocking Bulgarian or Romanian (can't remember) locally but even the sale price there is higher than WSS's normal pricing. Plus the Czech is on strippers which I vastly prefer.

OP,

Budget shooter supply has Czech ammo on stripper clips for 225 shipped.
That is the best deal going at this time.

Has anyone tried Romanian 7.62x39, that SFRC is selling?

Any good in comparison to Czech?

IMHO, Czech ammo in this calibre is the best we get in Canada.

Anyone prefer something else, and why?
